It all began on Dec 1st 2008. My sister, who loves dogs, came home from work as usual. Mom, dad and I had finished our dinner. I entered the room where my mom and sister were having a hush-hush conversation. They stopped talking the moment they saw me. I looked at my mom first and then my sister, wondering why they were so serious. I had missed seeing what was on the bed between them, a little black puppy who looked like a soft-toy. He was really cute and it was love at first sight for the three of us. You see she always wanted a dog, but my father is not that fond of dogs. So what she did, she bought him from a friend kept him in a handbag and got him home. And now they were wondering how to break the news to my dad. Well he didn’t take it too well, but when my sister promised to take full responsibility of the dog, he finally agreed. So Skipper Singh, that is what we named him, entered our lives.
I am not a dog person, I mean sure they are cute and loving, but thats about it. My sister on the other hand has this undying love for him which i think is a bit too much. This guy is quite a cutie pie. He knows how to play fetch, on his own, we never trained him. He loves to go for walks, run after pigeons, and he can jump really high. But he is a terrible gaurd dog, he tries to be friends with every person on the planet, he is scared of umbrellas, suitcases, he cant bark or growl at any person, and he does not know how to bite. I mean he is so loving that i’ve never seen him snap at anyone. I have hardly spent time with this fellow cause I got married in March 2009 and went away to live with my husband. When I returned this year, and my daughter was born. This guy seemed so grown up. He is protective of her, and knows that he should not go near her. Its actually quite interesting to see how a dog understands that there is a baby in the house. All in all its lovely to have a pet like him. :-)
